Dave Lewandowski has passed his
physical and is ready to come into the Department. He stated that everything is right on
schedule. They could actually deliver the tanker prior to the January 1, 1995 date;
however, they were told that due to budget constraints, the Department could not take
delivery prior to that date.

Assistant Fire Chief Kapler stated that the Fire Department has put in a requisition for a 44-
foot ladder to be installed on the new tanker. It will cost $1,800 plus $300 to rig it up. He
reported that this ladder would handle the tallest building in Ramsey. The Department's
present ladder is 29 feet. Mr. Kapler stated he would contact General as soon as the
requisition is approved.

Fire Board/May 23, 1994
Page 2 of 3
