Nine residents wanted no park development at all.

Mr. Dave Koepsell, 17201 Sodium Street, was the only resident present at the meeting even though
the letter sent with the poll indicated that a decision would be made at tonight's meeting.
Mr. Koepsell indicated that his wife had been present at the September meeting and felt that the
majority of residents were against park development. Mr. Koepsell stated he did not receive either
survey, although he indicated he is in favor of the plan with playground equipment and a
boardwalk.

Discussion ensued regarding budget and timeline.

Motion by Commissioner Henn and seconded by Chairperson Hetland to table the case until later
this winter when Mr. Boos can refine the budget, park plan and time line for construction.

Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissions Cook, Henn, and Johns.
Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Florentius.

Case #2: RECOMMEND PARK DEDICATION FOR FOX KNOLL

Mark Kleckner of Fox Development Company and Mr. Boos presented the revised preliminary plat
which consists of a 10-acre lot and a 12-acre lot, indicating that the trail will be completely off-road
and that an additional road right-of-way might possibly be added to the cul-de-sac with grading to
commence as soon as November of 1994 and trail construction completed concurrent with street
paving.
Park and Recreation Commission/October 13, 1994
Page 2 of 4
