Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS/PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Introduce Proposed Ordinance Vacating Drainage and Utility <br />Easements along the East Border of Lot 1, Block 1, and the <br />West Border of Lot 1, Block 1, of Trott Brook Ridge Addition <br /> <br />City En~neer Jankowski stated that the City has received a request from Mr. Dean <br />Helgeson,; Developer of Trott Brook Ridge, to vacate the drainage and utility easements that <br />were dedicated along the east border of Lot 2, Block 1, and the west border of Lot 1, Block <br />1, of Troll Brook Ridge Addition. This vacation is necessary due to the administrative <br />subdivision that was completed in October 1992. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson closed the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 7:10 p.m. in <br />order to conduct the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearine <br /> <br />Citizen Input <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that a letter was received from Mr. Michael Widhalm, <br />16900 yolite Street N.W., Ramsey, expressing concerns about drainage. He has asked <br />that Council put this request for vacation under advisement until he (Widhalm) has a chance <br />to meet With Staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission to discuss his concerns. Mr. <br />Jankowski stated he (Jankowski) could approach Mr. Helgeson about the possibility of <br />granting two easements. The second easement would be further to the east and would <br />connect the low area of Mr. Widhalm's property down to the drainage pond. Mr. <br />Jankowsld suggested that Council could introduce the proposed ordinance as the verbiage <br />would not change and prior to adoption, he would discuss Mr. Widhalm's drainage <br />concerns with Mr. Helgeson. <br /> <br />Wayne Miller, 7740 - 168th Avenue N.W., Ramsey, stated he thinks the drainage from <br />Trott Brook Ridge ultimately goes down into the wetland on his property. <br /> <br />Another resident present stated he received notice of the public hearing and was wondering <br />if the request affected his property to which Mr. Jankowski stated he understands it is only <br />the one property that's affected. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to close the <br />public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin <br />and zimmerman.
