Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #13: Report from Personnel Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Personnel Committee received the five-year <br />staff plan which is Staff's best estimate at this point of the projected growth of Ramsey. <br />.Staff expects that the number of City employees will grow from just under 40 to about 48 <br />in the year 1998. Departmental growth is mostly expected in the public safety and public <br />works departments. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hat'din and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to accept <br />the five-year staffing plan. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman, <br />Beyer andPeterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder reported that the Personnel Committee had previously reviewed the wage <br />and training policies and directed Staff to bring back formal policies for approval. They <br />reviewed such policies at this meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to approve <br />the wage policy as recommended by the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: Councilmember Beyer. (She felt that with this policy some <br />employees will still be paid above the average wage for their position and some will still be <br />paid below.) <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to approve <br />the training policy as recommended by the Personnel Committee. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />1) Joint City Council/Planning Commission Meeting <br /> <br />Council scheduled a joint meeting with the Planning Commission for 7:00 p.m., <br />Wednesday, July 6, 1994. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
