Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: RePort from Finance Committee <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that the Finance Committee received and reviewed the 1993 <br />Comprehensive Annual Finance. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to ratify the Finance Committee's action of accepting the <br />CAFR and authorizing the Finance Officer to submit it to the State of Minnesota <br />Department of Revenue and other agencies as required. <br /> <br />The report will be available at City Hall for review. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart reported that the Finance Committee recommended that City Council authorize the <br />City Administrator to sign the agreement with Anoka Electric Cooperative for utility billing <br />services. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize <br />the City Admi,nistrator to sign the agreement with Anoka Electric Cooperative for utility <br />billing services. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin and Peterson. <br />Voting No: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart reported that the Finance Committee discussed potential funding sources for <br />priority arterial street lights - installation and operation and maintenance costs. The <br />Committee tabled action on the case and directed Staff to further review this issue and bring <br />back alternates to funding. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart stated that the Committee voted to recommend that Council approve purchasing <br />the Minnesota Sawdust Plant for $310,000 and set a remodeling budget of $280,000. She <br />felt that it should be contingent upon the City Attorney's review of the purchase agreement. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to authorize <br />the purchase of the Minnesota Sawdust Plant for a purchase price of $310,000 and <br />authorize a remodeling allocation of $280,000, contingent upon the City Attorney review of <br />the purchase agreement. <br /> <br />Motion carried.. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart reported that land options were also discussed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize <br />Staff to initiate discussions with property owners for land acquisitions beginning with the <br />top priority parcels. Discussion should be brought back to Council. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Peterson, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman.
