Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution #94-07-139 receiving bids and awarding contract for Improvement Project ~94- <br />01 through//94-11 (1994 Street Maintenance Program - Crack Sealing) to Allied Blacktop <br />Co., in the amount of $23,067.00. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Beyer inquired if Allied is the company the City had <br />problems with last year. Mr. Jankowski stated that the problem was not getting the streets <br />swept on a timely basis. He reported that a penalty clause has been added into the <br />agreement for late sweeping. Councilmember Hardin questioned if the City Engineer <br />would be doing some kind of inspection prior to issuing pay for the services to which Mr. <br />Jankowski stated he would be. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman, <br />Beyer and Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution #94-07-140 receiving bids and awarding contract for Improvement Project #94- <br />01 through ~c94-11 (1994 Street Maintenance Program - Sealcoating) to Allied Blacktop <br />Co., Inc. in the amount of $51,345.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman, <br />Beyer and Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to adopt <br />Resolution #94-07-141 receiving bids and awarding contract for Improvement Project #94- <br />13 through//94-14 (1994 Street Maintenance Program - Bituminous Overlaying) to W.B. <br />Miller, Inc. in the amount of $68,250.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Receive Bids and Award Contract for the 1994 Street Paving <br /> Program <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the 1994 Street Paving Program consists of three <br />separate improvement projects to pave dirt streets. He stated the City received the bids and <br />he is recommending Council award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Peterson and to <br />adopt Resolution #94-07-142 receiving bids and awarding contract for Improvement <br />Project g93-11 through #93-13 (1994 Street Paving Program) to W.B. Miller, Inc. in the <br />amount of $48,122.00. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Peterson, <br />Beyer and Hardin. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #7: Adoption of Policy Regarding Concession Sales in City Parks <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that presently City Code does not allow licensing of <br />concessionaires in City parks.
