! <br />! <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />! <br />I <br />I® <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CASE # <br /> <br /> 1993 RAMSEY CLEAN-UP DAY <br />By: James Gromberg, Project Manager <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City Staff is currently planning the 1993 Ramsey Clean-up Day Activities. This years <br />activities are planned to be somewhat expanded as this is the final year for the traditional Ramsey <br />Clean-up DaY. The general program will be as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Each resident is allowed to take one covered load to the Anoka Regional Sanitary <br />Landfill. <br /> <br />2) Residents will be charged a fee for each tim. <br /> <br />3) ' Residents will be charged a fee for each appliance. <br /> <br />The fees for these materials has not yet been set as I will be meeting with the landfill personnel in <br />the near future to figure out prices. The City will also be seeking to allow residents additional <br />loads at a reduced price to allow for the maximum amount of clean-up this year. <br /> <br />1993 Clean-up Day has been tentatively scheduled for May 8, 1993. Volunteers will be available <br />to issue Cleaii-up Day permits, free, at City Hall during the Environmental EXPO which is <br />proposed to be held on Saturday May 1, 1993. Permits would also be available after 5:00 p.m. <br />until 8:00 p.m2 the Friday before Clean-up Day. Permits will be sold on Clean-up Day for a price <br />to be determined. <br /> <br />The City will Provide for roadside clean-up by local community service groups (4-H Clubs, Boy <br />Scouts, Gift SCouts, etc.) based upon the sections of roadway adopted by the different groups. <br /> <br />After discussiOns with the landfill personnel, the prices will be set and City Staff will be requesting <br />funding for the 1993 Clean-up Day. <br /> <br />Council Action: <br /> <br />No action is required at this time. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br />Project Manager <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />BC: 01/26/93 <br /> <br />Copies also distributed to: <br />Finance Officer <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
