He inquired about curb and gutter for 150th <br />Street N.W. ahd also if there were plans to extend Xkimo Street N.W. straight through. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankow ~akfi stated there were plans to extend Xkimo Street N.W. from 149th Street N.W. to <br />150 Street N.W., but that there were no plans to extend the 150th stub. <br /> i · <br />Mr. Birkner mqmred about the possibility of curb and gutter or sewer and water coming into <br />Sandy Acres any sooner because of this development. It was his understanding that these were 8- <br />10 years away ye~, and he wanted to know if that information was still accurate. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowsl~i advised that citizens would have to petition for a project such as sewer and water <br />before it would even be considered, and he explained that process. Mr. Jankowski stated the City <br />expects the d0veloper to put in curb and gutter improvements up to the lots. <br /> <br />Mr. Birkner also inquired about whether the transition of housing the developer referred to would <br />be monetary Or a~sthetic or a combination of both, and Mr. Emmerich suggested he take a look at <br />another one of~ thel_r developments, Hills of Bunker Lake in Andover, as an example. <br /> <br />Bob Georges,[ 5164 - 147th Lane N.W. - stated that while he would like to see this project with <br />single family l~oning, he was concerned about alleviating the traffic problem on Waco Street N.W. <br />He quesfion~t the benefit of connecting 147th Lane N.W. in River's Bend to 147th Lane N.W. in <br />Amber Ridge!to have access to T.H.#47. He stated 149th Avenue N.W.was wide enough and <br />designed to h~dle traffic but that 147th Lane N.W. was not. <br /> <br />Bruce Erick~n, 14603 Waco Street N.W. - was concerned about traffic. He stated it is difficult <br />getting onto ~I/.H. #47 from 142nd Avenue N.W. and 149th Avenue N.W., and with the addition <br />of 131 homes~ another access will be needed. He also added that traffic speeds down Waco Street <br />N.W. in exccas of 65 m.p.h, at times, and the traffic problems need to be addressed.
