'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Mr. Weed inquired about the wetlands. <br />Mr. Emmerich informed him they would not be affected. <br /> <br />Karen Petcrsi 14820 St. Francis Boulevard N.W. - referred to the provisions for widening Trunk <br />Highway g4~ and inquired as to how it affected her property. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski explained that it is the City's decision on whether they want the access, however, <br />MnDOT has.control over the type of improvements needed to accommodate such, and the City <br />awaits their ebmments. He stated there's the possibility of acceleration and deceleration or bypass <br />lanes which would require widening the road in the area of the intersection. <br /> <br />Ms. Peters inquired whether she would be affected by sewer and water development. <br /> <br />Mr. lankowsid stated it would not impact her as the service doesn't go past her residence but it <br />does bring it ~hat much closer. <br /> <br />Kurt Ferry, 1~4615 Waco Street N.W. - stated there was a need for more access from Waco Street <br />onto T.H. 4/47 and inquired whether there would be an additional access. <br /> <br />Commission~ Deemer stated there would be just the access at 147th Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. Ferry s ~ta~t that Waco Street has become a drag strip and that a street light and additional <br />access is needed. <br /> <br />Mr. lankowski stated that the access at Argon Street should take traffic off of Waco Street, and that <br />he didn't see this subdivision putting much of a traffic load onto Waco Street. He added that the <br />most direct access would be out 149th Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. Ferry inq~uired about the possibility of a traffic light at 149th Avenue. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowsid stated there would not be one right away, but eventually it will be necessary. He <br />explained tha~ traffic lights have specific warrants to order installation and that MnDOT has nine <br />criteria for warranting a signalized intersection. He referred to a traffic study at 167th Avenue and <br />T.H. g47 that ~ell a little short of the volume needed. <br /> <br />Mr. Ferry stated that a traffic light should be a high priority because some day someone's kids are <br />going to get killed. <br /> <br />Peter Nieder, i16203 Saspar N.W. - inquired into the maintenance and cost of installation of bypass <br />lanes when re, outing T.H. g47. <br /> <br />Mr.. Jankowsld stated the bypass lane would be immediate and would be the responsibility of the <br />developer.
