Absent: Commissioner LaDue. <br />The CommiSsion proceeded to review thc proposed amendments to definitions. It was the <br />consensus oflthe Commission to approve thc proposed revisions to the definition of Lot, minimum <br />area of, and ~ follow Staffs recommendation to eliminate that language that allows developers to <br />include road fight-of-way when meeting minimum lot size requirements. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland referred to Subd. 2 regarding exterior storage of unlicensed vehicles and <br />stated that thb Commission's previous recommendation to retain the ability for outside storage of <br />one such vehicle was reasonable. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik e~Xplaincd that thc City Council is divided, 3-2 in favor of eliminating any outside <br />storage of unlicensed vehicles. <br /> <br />Chairperson ~awden suggested the Commission send it back to City Council with the same <br />recommendagion for outside storage of one unlicensed vehicle, and if Council doubts that <br />recommenda~on, it's the unanimous opinion of the Planning and Zoning Commission that Council <br />should hold their own public hearing and listen to the public outcry. <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen revived the discussion concerning the 100-ft. performance zone for <br />metal access6ry structures, stating he felt it unacceptable when the setback for buildings housing <br />animals is only 75 feet. <br /> <br />Motion by ~ommissioner Terry and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to amend the <br />performance ~ne for metal accessory structures under Subd. 13, item (b) to be 75 feet. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Terry, Hendriksen, Holland <br />and Thorud. Voting No: None. Abstain: Commissioner Deemer. Absent: Commissioner <br />LaDue. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to direct City Staff <br />to schedule it public hearing for Tuesday, May 4, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. regarding proposed <br />amendments t~o Section 9.02 (Definitions) and Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses) of the Ramsey <br />City Code, as~amended. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Hendriksen, <br />Holland, Terr~ and Thom& Voting No: None.
