! <br />! <br />! <br />! <br /> <br />PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />Thc Ramsey planning and Zoning Commission conducted a special meeting on Monday, June 7, <br />1993 at the R ~arnsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />ChaLrperson David Bawden <br />Commissioner Benjamin Deemer <br />Commissioner Terry Hendriksen <br />Commissioner Paul Holland <br />Commissioner Charles LaDue <br />Commissioner Michael Terry <br /> <br />Members Absent: Commissioner Bradley Thomd <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Bawden called the special Planning and Zoning Commission meeting to order at 6:31 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner LaDue and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to approve the <br />agenda with ~e following amendments: <br /> <br />1) Add Case #3: Discussion Regarding Changing the Side Yard Setback Ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners LaDue, Hendriksen, Deemer, <br />Holland and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioner Thorud. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Request for a Conditional Use Permit; case of Danny's Tranny's, <br /> Inc. (Dan Karst, Jr.) <br /> <br />Commissioner Hendriksen stated that he had the opportunity to inspect the applicant's property at <br />6:00 p.m. on June 3, 1993. At that time, he found a large trailer parked in the driveway containing <br />material, a large tractor wailer parked in the street, and a front end loader was in the process of <br />loading a senli in the street. He stated that when he spoke with Mr. Karst, Mr. Karst had the semi <br />driver move inside the fence area for the remainder of loading although Mr. Karst didn't think the <br />semi was int~e street. Commissioner Hendriksen noted the license plate of the semi was from <br />Wisconsin, ~82 460. Commissioner Hendriksen also noticed approximately a 10'xl0' square of <br />material outsigle the fence, and the fence was in disrepair in numerous places. He also stated that it <br />was obvious that a front end loader had very recently been scooping out the bottom of the ditch <br />area at the sodth driveway as the tracks left by the loader had not yet been rained on. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Commission/June 7, 1993 <br /> Page I of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
