Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer and Hendriksen. <br />Voting No: l~one. Absent: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin and Zimmerman. <br />SUBCOMM~ITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: ~Review Proposed Ordinance to Establish Regulations for Moving <br /> ~ Structures Into and Within the City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the City Council/Planning and Zoning Commission <br />Subcommitt¢.~ directed Staff to draft an ordinance prohibiting the moving of structures into and <br />within the City. However after Staff discussed this direction with the City Attorney, he advised <br />against absoh~te prohibition as it could be challenged as discriminatory. City Attorney Goodrich <br />advised that e~tablishing stringent regulations for moving in structures can provide the protection <br />the City desi]res without being discriminatory. Ms. Frolik advised the Subcommittee that <br />CounciImen~ Zimmerman requested, upon his absence, that consideration be given to amending <br />the proposed Ordinance to allow the moving of structures into the rural district only. <br /> <br />City Council/Planning & Zoning Workshop/September 7, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
