Request for Site Plan Review; Case of Mike's Woodworking, Mike <br /> Sjoquist <br /> <br />Zoning Admitfistrator Frolik stated Mike Sjoquist is requesting a site plan review to construct a 484 <br />square foot e~pansion to the warehouse facility which is an accessory structure to his cabinet <br />making shop.l,I She stated that Mr. Sjoquist developed his home and 1600 square foot cabinet shop <br />in September11991 in the Pineview Estates 2nd Addition Planned Unit Development for which a <br />mixture of relidential and commercial uses is permitted. She added that an amendment to his site <br />plan was gra~.ted in December 199I to construct a 484 square foot warehouse for storing materials <br />and supplies,~and Mr. Sjoquist is now applying for a site plan review to construct a 484 square <br />foot expansio~ to the warehouse facility. Ms. Frolik explained that the proposed expansion is in <br />compliance v~i'th City Code as it pertains to lot coverage, architectural standards and setbacks, and <br />that no additional landscaping, off-slxeet parking or site improvements are required as a result of <br />the expansior/. <br /> <br /> · , [ <br />Comnuss~onea' Terry noted that he lives directly across the street from the applicant and sees no <br />problem with~ the expansion. He added that the expansion would help alleviate the applicant's <br />difficulty wit~ getting supplies to his business when road restrictions are on. <br /> <br />Motion by C03zmfissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to recommend that <br />City Council grant site plan approval to Mike's Woodworking for an expansion to the warehouse <br />facility. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Hendriksen, <br />Holland, LaDiae, Terry and Thorud. Voting No: None.
