CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Sharon Dahlgren, 6328 - 143rd Lane N.W., Ramscy, expressed concern about the "pit" in the <br />middle of the. ~roperty and inquired how the developer plans to f'dl it. <br /> <br />Jack Menkveld, Developer, stated they will be doing some very extensive grading. <br /> <br />Ms. Dahlgren inquired about the concrete on thc property. <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld'~stalr. d he has an agreement with the Sauters; they are responsible for it. <br /> <br />Ms. Dahlgren inquired about notification of a change in the plat should a new developer come in. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik assured Ms. Dahlgren that City Code requires that the final plat has to substantially <br />adhere to the~reliminary plat. If there is a substantial lot change, there will be a new public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Ms. Dahlgrcn inquired about a "blank" area on the plan. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik sta{ed that the larger area is proposed to be developed with multi-family homes and the <br />smaller parcel,s for commercial. <br /> <br />Troy Land, 14190 Tungsten Street N.W., Ramsey, stated he is not clear what the change in the <br />grading is a.n~ asked how he would know what the final plan is. He stated he has had 30 yards of <br />sand washed i~to his yard and he wants to know if more of this will happen. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski stated that once he gets the plan showing the direct grade, Mr. Land and also his <br />neighbors would be contacted. <br /> <br />Mr. Land suggested a retaining wall. <br />Mr. Menkveld ass~ed Mr. Land the grade will not stay the same as it is now; the grading plan will <br />be refined. <br /> <br />John Lucia, 1~341 Uranium Street N.W., Ramsey, expressed support for the plat approval. He <br />added he woald like to see additional work on the drainage but that having homes in that area <br />would be refreshing. <br /> <br />Cheryl Olson; 6246 - 143rd Lane N.W., Ramsey, stated her property abuts up to the drainage <br />pond. She stated !there has been some major flooding and that her basement has been flooded a <br />number of tin~s. She stated she has a "river that runs by her door". <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowsk~ assured her that this proposal would eliminate those flooding problems. <br /> <br />Resident, 14210 Tungsten Street N.W., Ramsey, expressed concern about the berm. Their <br />property goes ~ the back of this hill and they have considered putting in a retaining wall and some <br />trees. The resident inquired if their property would be used to get to the grading area. <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld stated that without an easement, private property cannot be used. <br /> <br />The resident at 14210 Tungsten Street N.W. also inquired if the multi-family housing would be <br />rental and exl~essed opposition to multi-family housing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Planning & Zoning Commission/October 5, 1993 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
