Absent: Mayor Gilbertson and Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />recommend that Ramsey City Council change the name of the Budget Committee to the <br />Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman and Beyer. Voting No: None. <br />Absent: Mayor Gilbertson and Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Case //2: Purchase of Tool Box and Fuel Tank for Public Works Pick-up <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />recommend to City Council to approve the purchase of the fuel tank and tool box from <br />Chrysteel Equipment for $751.89 for the Public Works pick-up truck. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson arrived. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman and Peterson. Voting <br />No: None. Abstain: Mayor Gilbertson (due to just arriving). Absent: Councilmember <br />Beyer. <br /> <br />Case #3: Proposed Purchase of 1,000 Curbside Recycling Containers <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the City is basically out of recycling containers and <br />that Project Manager Gromberg has suggested that 1,000 containers would be sufficient <br />and that they could be stored at the .Public Works facility. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling stated that Mr. Gromberg had received a bid of $5.93 if 500 <br />containers are ordered and $5.00 if 1,000 are ordered. He has also solicited bids from <br />other vendors but they were not available as yet. She felt there was no reason not to go <br />with the best price providing the quality of the container remained the same. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize <br />purchase of UP to 1,000 curbside recycling containers based on approval of the Finance <br />Officer at or below the price of $5.01 per container. <br /> <br />Further discussion: The Finance Committee suggested Mr. Gromberg check into different <br />sizes of containers and also the price of those with wheels, etc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Absent: CouncilmemberBeyer. <br /> <br />Case #4: Transcriber for Administrative Services <br /> <br />Finance Officer stated that Administrative Services is in need of replacing one of their <br />transcribers.
