I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />i$ <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder suggested possibly surcharging $1.00 per shot to help pay <br />for Staff time. <br /> <br />Council directed the Personnel Coordinator to contact the City's Insurance Agent of Record <br />concerning liability with regard to the Pet Clinic. <br /> <br />Council directed that the Pet Clinic be advertised only in the Ramsey Resident and on <br />Cable. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman suggested that if an employee wants to work four hours at the <br />Pet Clinic, he/she could trade time for time. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin stated that the workers deserve to be compensated. <br /> <br />Council directed that the City advertise for citizen volunteers for all the events (e.g., Pet <br />Clinic, Clean-up Day, Arbor events, etc.). <br /> <br />Case /fT: 1993 Ramsey Clean-up Day <br /> <br />Motion bY Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to ratify <br />the date of May 8, 1993 for the annual Ramsey Clean-up Day. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br />Case ~r: Environmental Expo and Tree Sale <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos updated the Finance Committee on the plans thus far for <br />the Environmental Expo and the Tree Sale. He inquired of the Committee if they felt that <br />the Environmental Expo should be continued. He commented that it seemed the round <br />table discussions should be discontinued. He stated he would update them periodically. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson inquired if the tree vendors could be asked to pay a fee to sell <br />their trees at the tree sale. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Finance Committee was that the Environmental Expo should remain a <br />part of the Arbor events. The majority were opposed to asking for a fee from the tree <br />vendors; however, felt it would be appropriate to accept donations which could assist in <br />paying for the the exhibition. The Finance Committee also directed that the Expo/Arbor <br />events be somewhat self-funded. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to ratify May <br />1, 1993 as the date for the Environmental Expo and Tree Sale <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hardin and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Beyer. <br /> <br />Case 4/9: Financial Results for Year Ended 12/31/92 <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling stated that by the February 23, 1993 meeting of the Finance she <br />would have the 1992 General Fund revenue and expenditures ready for review.
