I <br />I$ <br />I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> ! <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />Case #1: Update on Recycling Containers <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling stated that the City received a bid of $4.10 each for recycling <br />containers that met the specifications from A-1 Piper Recycling out of Orlando. This bid is <br />$910, or 18% under the authorized pumhase amount. She stated a purchase order has been <br />issued to A- 1 Piper. <br /> <br />No action was necessary as this was an informational case. <br /> <br />Case //2: Receive Bid for Relocating Electric Outlets in Administrative <br /> Services <br /> <br />Personnel Coordinator McAloney stated that Councilmember Hardin reviewed the <br />remodeling in Administrative Services and noted that having the outlets in the middle of the <br />walk space for the receptionist area was hazardous. He requested that Staff get a bid to <br />relocate the outlets. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve <br />relocating the two outlets at an estimated cost of $400.00 with funding provided from the <br />operating budget of Cost Center #1194 - General Government buildings. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Beyer commented that she too had suggested the <br />outlets were hazardous and felt that this case sounded as if Staff is taking direction from <br />one CounCilmember. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer, Peterson and Zimmerman. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gilbertson. <br /> <br />Case #3: Additional Telephone for Administrative Services <br /> <br />Personnel Coordinator McAloney stated that due to increased staffing and office <br />renovation, Administrative Services is short one telephone. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to approve <br />the capital purchase of one phone for a total cost of $394 with funding to come from the <br />operating budget of Cost Center #1130 - Administrative Services. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Beyer, Zimmerman, Hardin and Peterson. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gilbertson. <br /> <br />Case #4: Purchase of New Radar Units <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that Police Chief Auspos is looking to replace the two <br />oldest radar units with one new one. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />recommend that City Council authorize the purchase of one MPH Industries Brand BEE 36 <br />KA band radar unit at a cost of just under $2,600, to replace the two oldest units in the <br />Police Department. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman, Beyer and Peterson. <br />Voting No: None.
