Mayor ~jl_ bertson inquired what type of emergency contingency plan Anoka has to which <br />Mr. Jankowski replied he would find out. <br /> <br />Couneilmember Beyer arrived. <br /> <br />The Finite Committee directed Staff to fred out what Anoka's emergency contingency <br />plan is and report back to the Committee that information plus the cost of refurbishing the <br />wells. <br /> <br />Case #~: 1993 Parks Capital Improvements Program <br /> <br />City Adm2nistmtor Schroeder presented a proposed capital improvement program 1993 - <br />1998 showing the amount of dollars to spend and the areas in which the improvements will <br />take pla~. <br /> <br />He also-explained the resolution he added supporting a national recreation trail funding <br />request f~ the Lake Itasea Trail. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Cfilbertson and seconded by Counci!member Zimmerman to recommend <br />Council aPprove the 1993 Parks Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br />Motion (:arried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer and <br />Petersoni Voting No: None. Abstain: CouneilmemberHardin. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Oilbertson and seconded by Counei!member Zimmerman to recommend <br />Council adopt the resolution supporting a national recreation trail funding request for the <br />Lake Imse. a Trail <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Oilbertson, Counci!members Zimmerman, Beyer and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Abstain: Counci!memberHardin. <br /> <br />Case #3: Discuss Staff Appreciation Picnic <br /> <br />Councilm~mber Beyer stated that the appreciation picnic is scheduled for 5:00 p.m., <br />Monday,i June 28, 1993. She suggested the City could pick up the cost of relishes, paper <br />plates, etC., City Council will pay for the hot dogs and hamburgers and everyone attending <br />could bri~ a "dish to pass". She asked that all City Staff, including the Volunteer Fire <br />Fighters, the Ramsey Lions, the Tree Board and anyone else who helped with the Arbor <br />events, bike road-co, pet clinic and clean-up day be invited. The invitation should also <br />include spouses and children. <br /> <br />Case #4: Designation of Landfill Settlement Proceeds <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling stated the designation of the landfill settlement proceeds was <br />discussed at the City Council and Staff Work Session. She stated it is Staffs <br />recommeadafi0n that the settlement funds on landfill activity fxom 1985 through 1991 in the <br />amount 0f$164,093 be designated to a separate City fund established for and entitled <br />Economic Development Activity Fund and the settlement funds for January 1992 through <br />April 19~3 activity be deposited to the City's Expendable Landfill Trust Fund. She added <br />that by putting funds into the expendable trust fund, the designation can be changed. <br /> <br />Councilme~ tubers Beyer and Zimmerman felt that all the money should go into the fund for <br />economic development. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Cfilbertson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to recommend City <br />Council do. Ifignate the settlement funds for landfill activity from 1985 through 1991 in the <br />amount of $164,093 be deposited into a separate City Fund entitled Economic Development <br />Activity Fund and the settlement funds for January 1992 through April 1993 activity be <br />Finance Committee/June 8, 1993 <br /> <br />Page 2 of $ <br /> <br /> <br />
