FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOICA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, August 24, <br />1993 at :the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Membem Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gflbenson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councflmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Preset: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at <br />6:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Review Recommendations from Springsted regarding Calling <br />Certain Debt Service Issues <br /> <br />Finance Officer Hart stated that Springsted, the City's financial advisor, reviews all of the <br />City's outstanding indebtedness to determine the benefits of calling or refunding certain <br />issues. In its most recent review, it was determined that there are two debt service issues, <br />the $170,000 1984 Improvement Bonds and the $660,000 1985 Improvement Bonds that it <br />would be beneficial for the City to call at the first call date. There will be approximately <br />$300 to $§00 fees associated with each issue called. Ms. Hart explained that at the meeting <br />in September, there will be projections for how the funds can be used. <br /> <br />Motion by Cotmcilmember Zinunennan and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to recommend <br />that Counoil approve proceeding with the calling of the $170,000 1984 Improvement <br />Bonds and the $660,000 1985 Improvement Bonds. <br /> <br />Finance Committee/August 24, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
