Chairperson Hendriksen called the regular Board of Adjustment meeting back to order at 7:40 p.m. <br />BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case gl: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Construct an Accessory Structure Nearer <br />the Front Property Line than the Principal Structure; Case of Charles <br />and Jan Hart <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment reviewed Staffs observations. <br /> <br />Commissioner Thomd inquired about the exterior of the accessory structure, and Mr. Hart advised <br />that the complete front will be brick, matching the house, and the rest will be steel siding. <br /> <br />The Board of Adjustment proceeded to review the findings of fact. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member LaDue and seconded by Board Member Terry to accept gs 1 through 7 <br />as presented. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Board Members LaDue, Terry, Deemer <br />and Thorud. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Bawden and Holland. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Deemer and seconded by Board Member LaDue to amend g8 to read <br />"That there are unique circumstances applying to the subject property that do not generally apply to <br />other properties in the district; namely, that the developer of the lot has created a 84 foot front yard <br />setback for unattached accessory structures by the placement of the home;..." <br /> <br />Discussion: Board Member Deemer noted that he would be applying for a similar variance later <br />this year because his home is set back 600 feet from the road. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Board Members Deemer, LaDue, Terry <br />and Thomd.: Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Bawden and Holland. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Board that g0 should remain as presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member LaDue and seconded by Board Member Thorud to delete glO. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Board Members LaDue, Thorud, Deemer <br />and Terry. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Bawden and Holland. <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Board that gs 11 and 12 should remain as presented. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Terry and seconded by Board Member Thorud to amend gl3 to read <br />"That if granted, the variance will not grant the Applicant any special privilege..." <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Board Members Terry, Thorud, Deemer <br />and LaDue. Voting No: None. Absent: Board Members Bawden and Holland. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Deemer and seconded by Board Member Terry to amend gl4 to read <br />"That if granted, the variance will not be materially detrimental to the purposes..." <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hendriksen, Board Members Deemer, Terry, LaDue, <br />and Thomd. Voting No: None.
