PUBLIC HEARING <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on Thursday, August 19, 1993 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota to hear input <br />regarding a request for a variance to minimum street frontage requirements to construct a dwelling <br />on the 40 acre parcel located west of St. Francis Boulevard N.W. and north of 160th Lane N.W.; <br />case of Lynn Mortenson. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Terry Hendriksen <br />Board Member David Bawden <br />Board Member Benjamin Deemer <br />Board Member Charles LaDue <br />Board Member Michael Terry <br />Board Member Bradley Thomd <br /> <br />Members Absent: Board Member Paul Holland <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Hendriksen called the public hearing to order at 7:33 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Fmlik stated that Marshall Williams owns a 40+ acre parcel of land west of <br />St. Francis Boulevard and north of 160th Lane. Lynn Mortenson is proposing to purchase <br />approximately. 22 acres south of the county ditch for the purpose of constructing a dwelling on the <br />property. MS. Frolik added there will be no frontage on State Highway #47 according to the way <br />the property ia proposed to be split. She also explained that Mr. Mortenson's purchase agreement <br />and the subdivision are contingent upon the City granting a variance to the minimum street frontage <br />requirement for a dwelling on the subject property. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jerry Green of Edina Realty, representing Mr. Williams - explained that the subject parcel of land, <br />which is approximately 26 acres, is completely landlocked and that the only access is Osmium <br />Street. <br /> <br />Board Membor Deemer inquired about previous subdivisions of Mr. Williams' property, and Mr. <br />Green stated he believed that all previous subdivisions were done prior to Mr. Williams' <br />ownership. <br /> <br />Board Member Terry referred to the four lots west of the subject parcel, stating that if the proposal <br />goes through, those four lots would be landlocked. <br /> <br />Board Member LaDue stated that whoever purchased those lots knew that they were landlocked. <br /> <br />Public Hearing/Board of Adjustment/August 19, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
