NEGOTIATIONS COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Negotiations Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 9, <br />1993 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />AFSCME Union Steward Grant Riemer <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Beyer called the regular meeting of the Negotiations Committee to order at <br />6:44 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Personnel Coordinator McAloney asked to add Case #3: "Brief Discussion on LELS <br />Position (Closed) <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as amended. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: 1993 Wages and Benefits for Exempt Employees (Open) <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Negotiations Committee has heard his <br />presentatiOn before and at that time there were questions raised regarding market and wage. <br />He summarized the tables and stated he is recommending the table entitled "1993 3.7% <br />Exempt Using Mid Market Range" as opposed to the table entitled "1993 3.7% Exempt" <br />which was the previous recommendation. The only difference is, rather than using the <br />1991 Stamon figure with escalation, he used the actual 1992 Stanton wages. He stated he <br />originally used the 1991 figure with an escalator because that is what he used for <br />AFSCME, at their request. The Negotiations Committee asked that the 1992 Stanton wage <br />should be used for the Exempt personnel. The actual markets in 1992 are lower than <br />originally estimated and the 1992 figures are more accurate than the 1991 figures with an <br /> <br />Negotiations Committee/February 9, 1993 <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
