the Wood Pond projects housing subdivision, connecting the Ramsey Elementary School, the <br />Emerald Pond Park, Flintwood Hills Park and River's Bend Park. In 1996, it is proposed that <br />Flintwood Hills Park, at the intersection of Dysprosium Street N.W. and 142nd Avenue N.W., <br />receive a $32,000 playground and shelter improvement utilizing Landfill Trust Fund dollars. As <br />this subdivision was a Tax Increment Project, it also would be eligible for improvements out of <br />that fund if revenues become available. Contemplated is a tot-lot and balffield development. This <br />neighborhood park will become increasingly important as this neighborhood develops and as <br />Trunk Highway g47 and County Road #5 become increasingly important arterials. <br /> <br />project - Prairie District Year ~ <br />Sunny Ponds Park 1994 $ 28,000 - Park Trust <br /> <br />$ 28,000 <br /> <br />The Oxbow District <br /> <br />Included in the Oxbow district are two sidewalk and trail developments currently projected for <br />1993, concurrent with subdivision improvements. The first is entitled the Rivegs Bend sidewalk, <br />paid for by appwximately $13,000 in MSA funds providing for an off-road sidewalk along Xkimo <br />Street N.W. to 142nd Avenue N.W. and then from the intersection of Trunk Highway g47 and <br />142nd Avenue N.W. east to the River's Bend Park, providing for a safe pedestrian way in this <br />commercial area adjacem to residential and park uses. The second is the development of the Amber <br />Ridge/Juniper Woods trail that will occur concurrent with the Amber Ridge subdivision which will <br />provide for a safe pedestrian way for the Stanhope Terrace, River's Bluff, Rum Acres, Juniper <br /> <br />Park and Recreation Commission/April 8, 1993 <br /> Page $ of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
