The Commission noted that all future uses of the area <br />including tho~ n°t proposed to be single family homes would benefit from walkways on the west <br />and south sides of Sunfish Square. City Administrator Schroeder asked if Emerald Pond Park <br />could acconmio~te the additional users generated by Sunfish Square. Parks/Utilities Coordinator <br />Boos responded that staff added all the residences within 1/4 (one fourth) mile of the park, <br />including Sunfish Square and that it is within general guidelines for neighborhood parks of its size. <br /> <br />COMMISSION ACTION <br /> <br />Motion by COmmissioner Gookin and seconded by Commissioner Cook that the Park and <br />Recreation Commission recommend: <br /> <br />5. <br />6. <br />7. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Henn and Johns. Voting No: <br /> <br />City S ~utf-f and the developer resolve the road alignment and need for interior sidewalks <br />along the collector streets, and; <br />The City require the developer to construct alternative transportation corridors that will <br />conne~ both Tungsten Street and 143rd Lane, and; <br />The City and developer provide provisions to ensure that a tot level play area is included to <br />serve the multi-family homes concurrent with their development and based upon the <br />configuration and density, and; <br />That the City require that the berm be conslxucted concurrent with grading and forested to <br />separate multi-family/commercial areas f~m single family homes, and; <br />That the Park & Recreation Commission review the site plan prior to final approval,if <br />possible and; <br />That the City strongly consider landscaping in conjunction with the alternative <br />transtx~rtation corridor, and; <br />Further, that the City Council require cash in lieu of land to satisfy park dedication. <br /> <br />Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook, Florentius, Gookin, <br />None. Absent: Commissioner Swokowski. <br /> <br />Case #3: REVIEW THE PROPOSED CHESTNUT RIDGE SUBDIVISION <br /> <br />The prelimin .ary plat for Chestnut Ridge subdivision, located southwest of Wood Pond Hills, has <br />been withdrawn and no action is required of the Park and Recreation Commission at this time. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Gookin and seconded by Commissioner Henn to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook, Florentius, Gookin, <br />Henn and John's. Voting No: None.
