Discussi°n ensued regarding a policy for assessing comer lots, how to assess when City <br /> parks a~ a benefit of the improvement, and if the City should consider placing an <br /> assessraent cap on overlay projects. <br /> <br /> With ~gard to assessing when a City park is involved, Mr. Sankowski offered to survey <br /> other cities to fred out what their policy is. <br /> <br /> With rcggrd to Case #3, Mr. Jankowski stated that the issue is what is an appropriate <br /> charge to[a development for the cost of trunk infrastructure which is currently in place as a <br /> result of past City expenditures. <br /> <br /> The Commit~ directed Staff to begin developing a policy for consideration and adoption <br /> by City C~uncil for both the public improvement assessment Policy and the infrastructure <br /> impact fees. <br /> <br /> Case #$: Revie. w Policy on Roadside Ditch Mowing and Open Lot <br /> Mowing <br /> <br /> City Engineer Jankowski stated that it has been the City's policy to mow City street <br /> roadside~ on a periodic basis. He felt that a written policy should exist. He summarized <br /> the draft ~olicy he <br /> prepared. <br /> <br /> Following discussion, Mr. Jankowski offered to survey other cities for their policies and <br /> enforcement procedures. <br /> <br /> The commission directed Staff to prepare the policy on mowing ditches for Council <br /> review. <br /> <br /> COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br /> Public Works Supervisor Mevissen referred to the Lot 6, Block 2, Gorham's Sandy Acres <br /> that the C-~ity is intending to sell to ACCAP.
