07/15/2003 11:00 FAX 6516021640 <br /> <br />OFFICE OF GEN. <br /> <br /> DRAFT <br /> <br />COUNSEL <br /> <br />002 <br /> <br /> INTERAGEN~Y AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL AND THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVE URBAN AREAWIDE REVIEW STUDY <br />STATE TRUNK HIGHWAY 10 CORRIDOR <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made by the Metropolitan Council ("Council") and the City of Ramsey <br />("City"). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City asked the Council to help fund the costs of an Alternative Urban Areawide <br />Review that will .analyze the impacts Proposed roadway improvements may have on existing <br />property along the State Trunk Highway t0 corridor within the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alternative Urban Areawide Review study and maps that may result from the <br />study will be useful for future land use and development decisions affecting the City along the <br />State Trunk Highway I0 corridor, and also wflI be useful for local comprehensive planning <br />purposes; and <br /> <br />WIr[EREAS, at its July 9, 2003 regular meeting the governing body of the Metropolitan Council <br />authorized its Regional Administrator to enter into an interagency agreement with the City to <br />contribute $5,000.00.toward the preparation of an Alternative Urban Areawide Review study of <br />the State Trunk Highway 10 corridor through the City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the parties _agree as follows: <br /> <br />City Obligations. Consistent with the Council's July 9, 2003 action, the City will use the <br />Council's $5,000.00 contribution to help pay for the costs of preparing an Alternative Urban <br />Areawide Review study of the State Trunk Highway corridor through the City of Ramsey. · <br /> <br />2. Council Payment. Within thirty (30) days after the execution of this agreement, the Council <br /> will pay $5,000.00 to the City. <br /> <br />Environmental Analysis Document Review. Neither this agreement nor the Council's <br />$5,000.00 contribution shall prohibit or limit the Council's ability to review or file with the <br />City an objection to any environmental analysis documents prepared by ~the City or its <br />consultants under the Alternative Urban Areawide Review process. <br /> <br />4. Termination. This agreement shall terminate February 29, 2004, or following completion <br /> of the City's obligations, whichever occurs first. <br /> <br />Amendments. The terms of this agreement may be changed or modified 0nly upon <br />execution of written amendments signed by the authorized representatives of the Council <br />and the City. <br /> <br />6. Certification.
