The event would be held at the Links at Northfork with a full day of golf (18
holes), a dinner catered by LeTourneau's Supervalu and prizes.

The cost for the event would be $90.00 per person. The fee included 18 holes of golf, golf cart, a
give-away bag, dinner and a wide variety of prizes that would be given out at the end of the day.

The Mayor requested the EDA's input regarding what piece of apparel the City should provide in
the "goodie" bag this year. For the past several years the City had provided a pol$ shirt with
either the City logo or golf logo on the front. The options available for this 'year were the
following:

Pullover windbreaker jacket with City logo ~ $18.00
Denim shirt (long or short sleeve) with City logo ~ $16.00
Polo shirt with City logo (traditional option) ~ $12.50

Samples of each item were shown to those in attendance.

Ms. Wald explained that the tournament price would be raised by $5.00 this year to cover the
additional expenditure for either the windbreaker or denim shirt and to cover general increases in
event costs. She added that the City still had one of the cheapest event rates. She noted that the
Chamber of Commerce golf and dinner event, which takes place on July 9, 2003, was $95.00 per
person.

Discussion followed regarding the three options for the "goodie" bag. It was decided that the
EDA would recommend that the pullover windbreaker jacket with City logo be provided. Ms.
Wald listed colors that were available. After discussion, it was decided that black should be
chosen, as the logo would be more noticeable.

Case #3: Business Tour

Associate Planner Wald explained that the first annual Business Tour was set for Tuesday, June
17, 2003. The Tour would begin at LeTourneau's Supervalu for a lunch at 12:30 p.m. The
Anoka County Traveler would arrive at LeTourneau's at 1:00 p.m. to escort everyone to the
different business locations.

Ms. Wald supplied a draft copy of the itinerary for the afternoon. It was anticipated that 30 to 35
minutes would be spent at each business. Staff had contacted each business to request
information pertaining to their operation. Brochures had been received from Zero Zone and

Economic Development Authority / June 9, 2003
Page 3 of 7
