Absent: Mayor Gilbertson. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Improvement Project g92-21 - Bituminous Surfacing of Service Road <br />Adjacent to Tom Thumb Market at 14911 Ramsey Boulevard N.W. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson adjourned the regular City Council meeting at 7:32 p.m. in order to <br />conduct the following public heating: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Improvement Project 4/92-21 - Bituminous Surfacing of Service Road Adjacent to Tom <br />Thumb Market at 14911 Ramsey Boulevard N.W. <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 7:44 p.m. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated there is no action needed on this case. If a project opposition <br />petition ~s not submitted within the next 60 days, the project will be authorized and construction <br />can begin around May 1, 1993. <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />:Status of Compliance with Terms of Conditional Use Permit; Case of <br />Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that on November 24, 1992, she was instructed by City <br />Council to in!tiate the action necessary for Council to consider revocation of the conditional use <br />permit issued to Danny's Aluminum Processing, Inc. Ms. Frolik gave a chronology of <br />inspections, etc. conducted by the City, MPCA, Anoka County Environmental Services and <br />OSHA. All results were favorable. She stated that on January 6, 1993 she inspected Mr. Karsfs <br />business again and determined he was in compliance with his conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Mr. Dan Karst and his attorney Bill Gengler were present. Mr. Gengler stated he is impressed <br />with the inspection records for Mr. Karst's business and feels this demonstrates a good faith effort <br />on Mr. Karst's part to work with his neighbors. <br /> <br />Ms. Frolik stated that Mr. Jerry Martin, a business neighbor to Mr. Karst, made a point to call to <br />say he was pleased with what Mr. Karst has been doing. <br /> <br />City Council/January 12, 1993 <br /> Page 3 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
