This year, Christmas Day falls <br />on a Sa ~.t~day and Staff will get Friday off for Christmas Eve. He stated Staff is asking for <br />Council% direction. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to <br />authorize a floating holiday to replace Christmas Day which falls on the weekend. <br /> <br />Motion earried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbenson, Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman, <br />Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #6: Adopt Resolution Authorizing Holmes & Graven to Represent <br /> the City of Ramsey in Lawsuits Commenced by John Starks <br /> and Christopher Fields <br /> <br />City AttOrney Goodrich felt that is was a good position to have one firm represent all the <br />cities in the lawsuit. He informed Council that the confidentiality among these cities and <br />the attorney is waived; however, he did not feel that was really a disadvantage. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />ResolutiOn #3-02-019 authorizing Holmes & Graven to represent the City of Ramsey in <br />lawsuits commenced by John Starks and Christopher Fields. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin <br />and Zimmerman.
