I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Negotiating Committee <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Resolution//93-03-036 setting the 1993 Compensation Plan for Exempt Personnel. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer and <br />Zimmevman. Voting No: None. Abstain: Councilmember Hardin (as he is not in favor of <br />increasing the City's contribution toward single insurance coverage). <br /> <br />Case #9: Lions Picnic <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that the Ramsey Lions have applied for a one-day, 3.2 <br />beer license for the Community Picnic scheduled for June 5, 1993. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to grant the <br />request from the Ramsey Lions for a 3.2 beer license for the Community Picnic. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman felt there are double standards here. <br />Some groups are allowed to have beer but softball teams are not allowed to. He suggested <br />reviewin§ the park ordinance. Chief Auspos stated that the park ordinance language allows <br />non-profit organizations to sell 3.2 beer. Councilmember Hardin suggested that allowing <br />beer in the City parks sends a mixed message to families because of the City's involvement <br />with the D.A.R.E. Program, etc. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Beyer, Peterson and <br />Hardin.
