Voting No: None. <br /> <br />I Case //~: Adopt Ordinance to Rezone Certain Property in the Proposed <br /> Plat of Amber Ridge from B-2 Business and R-3 Urban <br /> Residential to R.I Urban Residential; Case of Albin Peterson <br /> and Gary Gorham <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that on April 27, 1993, Council introduced an ordinance <br />to rezone property in the plat of Amber Ridge from R-3 Urban Residential and B-2 <br />Business to R- 1 Urban Residential to facilitate development of the entire plat with single <br />family homes. <br /> <br />Motion bY Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt <br />Ordinanee~93-07 rezoning the entirety of Amber Ridge, with the exception of Ouflot B, to <br />R- 1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer and <br />Peterson. Voting No: None. Abstain: CouncilmemberHardin. <br /> <br />Case #3: Request for Final Plat Approval of Ramsey Commons 2nd <br /> Addition; Case of North Suburban Development, Inc. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that Jack Menkveld of North Suburban Development, <br />Inc. is requesting final plat approval of Ramsey Commons 2nd Addition. The subdivision <br />consists of a replat of four lots in Ramsey Commons and four lots in Sunny Ponds into 11 <br />single fami'ly, urban, residential lots. She explained that all lot requirements are met, the <br />grading and drainage plan has been modified to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, the <br />LRRWMO has approved the mitigation plan for the restoration of the impacted wetlands <br />and parkdedieafion has been established. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolution ~93-05-088 granting final plat approval to Ramsey Commons 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman, <br />Beyer andPeterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #4: <br /> <br />Introduce Proposed Ordinance to Amend Ramsey City Code <br />Chapter 9 (Zoning and Subdivision), Section 9.02 <br />(Definitions) and 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses) <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik stated that the proposed ordinance is an amendment to Chapter <br />9 of the City Code. Following are the amendments: Section 9.02 Definitions, Accessory <br />Building has been modified to clarify that attached and detached garages are considered <br />accessory buildings. That the attached garage, or that in the absence thereof, the initial <br />detachM garage, are considered primary accessory buildings. Lot, minimum area of, has <br />been amended to exclude road right-of-way in determining lot area in the rural residential <br />district. A definition for Personal Services has been added. Section 9.11.02 has been <br />amended to reduce the lot size threshold for metal accessory buildings from 2.5 to <br />approximately 2.3 acres. Additionally, any metal buildings constructed within 75 feet of <br />any property line would be required to be designed with soffit, facia and eave overhang. <br /> <br />Diane, representing Larry Wymm, 7929 - 157th Avenue N.W., stated the Wyrums are <br />neighbors of the Weinmanns. She stated she was "disgusted" that the City granted a <br /> <br />City Council/May 11, 1993 <br /> Page 5 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
