She <br />express~her concern about the appearance of metal accessory buildings. She stated the <br />City shouldn't be granting variances for any more junk. <br /> <br />Larry Wymm, 7929 - 157th Avenue N.W. felt Council should not change the ordinances it <br />has now~ <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson stated he is not in favor of decreasing the lot size from 2.5 to 2.3 <br />for metal accessory buildings to which Councilmember Hardin expressed agreement. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin expressed concern about Subdivision 2 also, and inquired if the <br />City hasian automobile definition. He does not agree with allowing one junk vehicle per <br />residence~ He felt a subcommittee should be formed to work on this proposed ordinance <br />and sug$0sted it should consist of members of the Planning and Zoning Commission, a <br />couple of City Councilmembers and Staff. <br /> <br />Motion bY Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer that the <br />Committe~ should consist of Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman and Hardin, <br />any Planning and Zoning members who wish to participate, and Staff. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beycr, Hardin <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to table the <br />introduoflon of this ordinance until the Committee has reviewed it and brings back a <br />recommendation for Council. <br /> <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: Request for Stop Sign at 171st and Zeolite Street N.W. <br /> <br />This case was pulled from the agenda at the residents request. <br /> <br />Case #6: Update on Hog Farm <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that the agreement, approved by the City Council on April <br />13, 1993,.has been signed by Mr. Jake Barthold. Mr. Barthold has agreed that he will be <br />down 100 pigs by June 1, 1993, another 100 by July 1, 1993, and the last 100 by August <br />1, 1993. He will be spreading manure which will continue to cause odor. He has asked <br />for a grace period until August 15th to get rid of any little pigs that may be left after the last <br />100 hav., been shipped out and has agreed to pay a "fine" for every day after that if there <br />are any hogs still remaining on the property. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to authorize <br />the May0~ and City Administrator to enter into agreement with Mr. Jake M. Barthold with <br />the follo~g modifications: Instead of language stating that manure will be taken care of <br />as soon as is reasonably possible, it should state that the manure will be spread within 24 <br />hours a~id that verbiage be included to allow for City Staff to enter onto Mr. Barthold's <br />property ~ review his progress of getting his herd shipped out as stated in the agreement. <br /> <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />City Council/May 11, 1993 <br /> Page 6 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
