This ordinance was introduced at the May 25, 1993 meeting. <br /> <br />Motion hy C°uncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to adopt <br />Ordinance ~3-09 repealing the requirement of precinct liaison meetings between City <br />Council and Ramsey residents. <br /> <br />Motion ~,anqed. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Hardin <br />and Zimmermsn. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Report from Finance Committee <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling stated the 1993 Parks Capital Improvement Program was discussed <br />and the Finance Committee recommended Council adopt it. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to adopt the <br />1993 Parks Capital Improvement Program. <br /> <br />Motion c ~arried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Finance:Officer Helling stated that the designation of landfill settlement proceeds was <br />discussed~and it will be placed on the next Council agenda as a case. <br /> <br />Finance .Officer Helling stated that the Finance Committee discussed the 153rd Avenue <br />N.W. extonsion appraisal/acquisition. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerrnan to <br />authorize'Zubmittal of the Environmental Assessment Worksheet for the final section of <br />153rd Avenu~ N.W. between Variolite Street N.W. and Armstrong Boulevard N .W. to <br />the Envir0'~ental Quality Board. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Zimmerman, <br />Beyer anctPeterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Replacement of Police squad cars was discussed and the Finance Committee is <br />recommending the purchase of one more squad. <br /> <br />Motion bY~ Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to authorize <br />the purch~e of one additional Police squad in 1993 with funding provided from the <br />equipment3replacement fund. <br /> <br />Motion c4an4ed. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Finance Officer Helling stated that the Committee recommended that Council support the <br />national recreation trail funding request for the Lake Itasca Trail. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt <br />Resolution ~)3-06-112 supporting national recreation trail funding request for the Lake <br />Itasca Trail. <br /> <br />City Council/June 8, 1993 <br /> Page 7 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
