I Case #1'~t: Introduce Proposed Ordinance to Sell Outiot A River's Bend lO Addition City Ad~nistrator Schroeder stated that the City acquired Outlot A of River's Bend Addition for drainage and utility casement purposes. Thc City has since agreed to sell this lot to the ,~developers of Amber Ridge. Thc procedure has now been completed for the I changing of this status to one of unspecified public use. The City will be able to sell the property, lifter it receives a clear title from the State which should occur in three to four weeks..r~ order to expedite this process, the City Council should adopt an ordinance i authorizing the sale of the property as required by City Charter. Absent: Mayor Gflbertson. :' Case #12: Designation of Landfill Settlement Proceeds I I I I I I I I I I I City Administrator Schroeder stated that at the last Finance Committee meeting, we talked about whore the proceeds from the Waste Management lawsuit should go. The resolution in this case would designate $164,000 to economic development and the rest of the money would gO into the Landfill Trust Fund. Motion lay Councih?ember Hardin and seconded by Counci!member Peterson to adopt the resolufloniauthorizmg the establishment of Fund #815 within the City's Financial System and de$.ig~ating the allocation of funds received from the Landfill Closure/Post Closure Deduction~Settlement. ' Motion fsiled. Voting Yes: Councilmcmbcrs Hardin and Peterson. Couneilm~mbers Beyer and Zimmerman. Absent: Mayor Gilbertson. Case #13: Report from Personnel Committee Voting No: City Admjmi~ 'strator Schroeder stated that IAnda Mayer in the Finance Office has completed her probationary period and the Personnel Committee recommended she be retained as an employee Of the City. Motion _b~,~ Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Counci!member Zimmerman to retain Linda Mayer as a full-time regular employee effective Suly 4, 1993 per the terms of the AFSCME bargaining unit contract. Motion e~'ri'ed. Voting Yes: Counci!members Hardin, Zimmerman, Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Crilbertson. Case #14: Report from the Finance Committee City Administrator Schroeder stated that if Council authorized the transfer of the Invesfigalor car into the squad and allocated money for set up of the cars, etc. a formal resolution would be available for adoption at the next meeting. By consensus, Council authorized the transfer of the Investigator car into the squad rotation in lieu of the existing squad and allocated the funding not-to-exceed $2,450 from the City Council/June 22, 1993 Page 9 of 11
