Voting No: None. <br /> <br />i Case #1~a: Adopt Resolution Approving Anoka Area Hockey Association <br /> ~ Renewal Applications for Premise Permits for Gambling at <br /> Two Sites in Ramsey <br /> <br />I Councilmember Zimmerman stated there had been discussions with the previous Finance <br /> Officer allout the Anoka Area Hockey Association not producing much revenue for the <br /> City. <br />I Councilmember Peterson stated there are two groups with similar names and the Anoka <br /> Area Hockey Association is not the one the City has expressed concern about. The one of <br />i concern islthe Anoka Area Ice Arena Association. <br /> Couneilme~mber Zimmerman felt the gross receipts should be somewhat all the same and he <br /> felt there i~ a disparity where the Hockey is concerned. <br />I City AttOrney Goodrich stated the Council would have to have a legitimate reason for <br /> denying this request. <br />l~ City Administrator Schroeder concurred that this organization is in compliance with the <br /> · ! 'J <br /> Cay s ordinances. <br /> Consensus of the Council was that this issue should be brought back to Council at the <br /> August 10th or August 24th meeting. <br />I MAYOR AND COU. NCIL INPUT <br /> 1) Budget Meeting Dates <br />I The follOWing dates are scheduled for budget meetings: 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 3, <br /> 1993, 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 17, 1993 and 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 31, 1993. <br />I 2) Land Use and Shoreland Management Update <br /> City Administrator Schrocder stated that the proposals for the land use and shoreland <br />I studies ha~e come in slightly over budget. This is scheduled for Council review at the next <br /> meeting. <br /> <br />i 3) Anoka County Transportation Plan Update <br /> City Admiifisl~ator Schroeder stated that he has heard from Anoka County that they are <br /> expecting io authorize BRW to update Anoka County's Transportation Plan contingent <br />I Ram~ey and Anoka each contributing $9,000 toward the study.
