Mr. Jankowski <br />will be palsing the comments and concerns back to Mr. Fisher. <br /> <br />The progrSm for paving the remaining dirt streets within the City of Ramsey was discussed <br />and a conSensUs was reached for a change in policy. It was suggested that City Council <br />could initiate the proposed paving projects rather than wait for residents to initiate the <br />project. T~e project could still be stopped by a petition against it. <br /> <br />Mr. Sankqwski stated the Road and Bridge Committee also endorsed the concept of <br />contacting~ the residents on these streets and roads so they know what it takes to initiate <br />such a project and also the approximate cost. The Committee prepared a map showing the <br />din roads ~ft in the City. <br /> <br />Mr. ]ankoWski reported that the action was tabled on the grading assessment case pending <br />action on the paving program discussed. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowski disseminated a list of current and future street maintenance projects. <br /> <br />Motion ~Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to schedule <br />the publieihearing for the street name changes (153rd Avenue N.W. and Sunfish Lake <br />Drive N.W.) on the next Council agenda. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson, Hardin, Beyer <br />and Zimmcrman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by!Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to accept the <br />policy of'~e Engineering Department taking the initiative for the feasibility study on gravel <br />roads and ridding the street paving to the 1994 Street Maintenance Program. <br /> <br />Motion caia'ied, Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Couneilmembers Hardin, Peterson, Beyer <br />and Zimmcrman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Couneilmember Beyer to <br />authorize ~a:lUeSt for proposals on the technical portion of the engineering and appraisals <br />services fo~ the 1994 and 1995 proposed roadway improvements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Couneilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, <br />Hardin Md Peterson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #15: Report from the Personnel Committee <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder reported that one of the items discussed at the Personnel <br />Committ~ w~ the probationary period for Receptionist Joanne Kusler. The Committee <br />recommen{led.tetalning Ms. Kusler as a part-time regular employee in salary grade 7 with a <br />salary of $18,219 (annualized figure). This would be effective when the position of <br />Receptionist has been filled. <br /> <br />The Committee also recommended offering the position of part-time clerk typist in the <br />Finance Depamnent to Ms. Shelly Haben. This position would be in salary grade 7, <br />effective .aPproximately August 1, 1993 with a starting salary of $18,219 (annualized <br />figure). <br /> <br />Mr. Schro,der reported that the last item of discussion was filling the part-time secretarial <br />position in;Administrative Services.
