(Ms. Frolik reported <br />that after further review, City Staff is recommending that because the property <br />oWner is not always the person that applies for the building permit, that there be a <br />di~laimer printed on building permits that stipulates that with the issuance and <br />ae~ptance of the building permit, the property owner agrees that no commercial <br />agtlvity will be conducted in the accessory slxucture. <br />By: a unanimous consensus, the lot size threshold for having metal accessory <br />buildings was reduced from 2.5 acres to approximately 2.29 acres for all lots <br />cre~ted prior to July 1, 1993. For all lots created after July 1, 1993, the lot size <br />threshold for a metal accessory structure will be five acres. <br />Bya unanimous consensus, a performance standard was added to require that any <br />metal accessory building constructed within 75 feet of a property line shall be <br />designed with soffit, facia and cave overhang. <br />By!a 4, to 1 consensus, the number of unlicensed vehicles permitted for outside <br />storage was changed from one to zero. (Staff is proposing to add a def'mifion for <br />vehicle.). <br />By fa 4 to i <br />consensus, the definition for "~t, minimum area of" was amended to <br />in, cate that the s~ace area of a lot sha~ be based on measurement from property <br />linc to property line, exclusive of any portion of the right-of-way of any public <br />street or thoroughfare for all commercial, industrial and all residential lots. <br /> <br />IO <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson suggested adopting all the items that were voted on unanimously. <br /> <br />Councilm0mber Zimmerman stated he still has concern about the lot size threshold for <br />having melhl accessory buildings reduced and also about the number of unlicensed vehicles <br />and the clef'tuition for "lot, minimum area of". He stated he voted for Item #9 as a <br />compromise for numbers 11 and 12. He felt he did most of the compromising at the <br />workshop and that he was not given much support. <br /> <br />Motion by .C. ouncilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to introduce <br />the ordinar4cl e amending Section 9.11.02 (Accessory Uses) of the Ramsey City Code. <br /> <br />Motion car~ed. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson and Hardin. <br />VoUng No., C°uncilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #14; Report from the Road and Bridge Committee <br /> <br />City Engirn~r Jankowski reported that the Road and Bridge Committee met earlier and <br />discussed renaming of 153rd Avenue N.W. and also Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. Several <br />proposals Were received from citizens. The Committee reviewed the suggestions and <br />decided to schedule a public hearing and introduce the names along with other names and <br />concerns hoard:at the public hearing. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowsid reported that he also met with Mr. Doug Fisher of Anoka County Highway <br />Departmon~ to discuss the realignment of the intersection of County Road #5 and Trunk <br />Highway ~4~7. The result of that meeting was a rough concept plan which was contained <br />on a one inch equals 200 foot aerial half section. He presented this rough concept plan to <br />the Committee for review and comment.
