! <br />! <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />The Rarn~y .C~ty Council conducted a public heating on Tuesday, July 13, 1993 at the <br />Ramsey Mumcipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, to hear <br />comment regarding the Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) on 153rd Avenue <br />N.W. connection between Variolite Street N.W. and County Road $$83 (Armstrong <br />Boulevard N.W.). <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gflbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Adminislxator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney Willi_a_m Goodrich <br />Project Manager James Oromberg <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the public hearing to order at 7:55 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Project Manager Gromberg stated that the reason for this public hearing is to get input from <br />residents. <br /> <br />CITIZEN' INPUT <br /> <br />Mayor Gflbertson noted the conversation during the Citizen Input portion of the City <br />Council meeting and stated that the residents want a 30-day notice before anything <br />regarding the 153rd Avenue connection is discussed. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder inquired of Greg Smith if he would like City Council to <br />schedule the public heating for the 24th of August and schedule the findings on the same <br />night to which Mr. Smith stated Council should receive input at the public hearing and <br />maybe thor6 wouldn't be a reason for another meeting. <br /> <br />Mayor Oilbertson informed the residents that the project is a Municipal State Aid (MSA) <br />project, <br /> <br />Greg Smith:, 15250 Iguana Street N.W., Ramsey, stated "we do not want anything to do <br />with the MSA. He requested Council cease and desist this project on an environmental <br />basis. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated that this project is intended to be fully funded by MSA.
