! <br />I <br />ie <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramscy City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 13, 1993 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor James Gilbertson <br /> Councilmember She[la Beyer <br /> Councilmember Glen Hardin <br /> Counc~!member Kenneth Peterson <br /> Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve lankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Project Manager James Gromberg <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertzon called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. and led in <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Hag. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Greg Smith, 15250 Iguana Street N.W., Ramsey, with regard to the environmental report <br />on 153rd Avenue N.W. completion, inquired who gave Staff permission to schedule a <br />public hea2-ing. <br /> <br />City Admi~ismmr Schroeder stated that City Council did a year ago when they authorized <br />an environtnental assessment for 153rd Avenue N.W. <br /> <br />Mr. Sn-.ithistated that at that time City Council said they would give all the concerned <br />residents a 30-day notice and he demanded the public hearing be tabled until a 30 day notice <br />is given. <br /> <br />Deb Volkman, 15315 Armstrong Boulevard N.W., Ramsey agreed with Mr. Smith's <br />statement aimut the 30-day notice. She stated her letter is dated July 2nd. <br /> <br />Mr. Sclu~d. er stated that the meeting tonight is only to receive input. Thc public hearing <br />will then :l~ closed and Council will wait until August 10th. to determine whether City <br />Council shbuld accept or reject the findings of the EAW. This is not a decision point in <br />which Ci~ Council is choosing the alignment for 153rd. The alignment shown is the <br />preferred aild recommended by Staff but it has not been selected by Council. City Council <br />has said th6y would not do anything else until the EAW was completed. <br /> <br />Mr. Smith ~iterated that they have asked for a 30-day notice. <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson stated he was "okay with waiting and giving a 30-day notice". <br /> <br />City Council/July 13, 1993 <br /> Page 2 of 15 <br /> <br /> <br />
