Motion b~ Couneilmember Peterson and seconded by Couneilmember Zimmerman to adopt <br />Resolufio~a ~93-09-178 approving Findings of Fact ~0345 and issuing a negative finding <br />for the Enyironmental Assessment Worksheet for 153rd Avenue N.W. connection between <br />Variolite Street N.W. and Armstrong Boulevard N.W. (County Road #83). <br /> <br />Motion eWried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Couneilmembers Peterson, Zimmerman <br />and Hardin. Voting No: Couneilmember Beyer. (Councilmember Beyer explained she <br />feels the.east/west corridor is in the best interest of the City but she does not feel there is a <br />need to in~effere with the wetland. She suggested the City review other alternatives.) <br /> <br />Case 02:' Application for Off-Sale Intoxicating Liquor License for <br /> Ralph's Discount 10 Liquors <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos stated the purpose of this hearing is to receive input from the citizens <br />regarding ~m .application from Mr. Ralph Nissen for an off-sale intoxicating liquor license <br />for Ralpfi'$ Discount 10 Liquors. <br /> <br />Mayor oilbertson adjourned the regular portion of the City Council meeting at 8:22 p.m. in <br />order to e0nduet this public hearing. <br /> <br />Mayor cdlbertson called the regular City Council meeting back to order at 8:27 p.m. and <br />turned thisicase over to Councilmember Peterson as acting Mayor. <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos stated that the building is still undergoing renovation but that the <br />license ea~ still be granted contingent upon completion of the building in a reasonable time. <br /> <br />Motion by iCouncilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Couneilmember Beyer to approve <br />the request of Ralph Nissen, C.R. Foods, Inc., for an Off-sale Intoxicating Liquor <br />License. <br /> <br /> Motion carried. Voting Yes: Councilmembers Zimmerman, Beyer, Hardin and Peterson. <br /> Voting Not None. Abstain: Mayor Gilbertson. <br /> <br /> Mr. Ralph' Nissen was present and stated the construction on his building would be <br /> completed by next Monday (September 20, 1993). <br /> <br /> Mr. Ron Touehette was present and described the way Mr. Nissen's building and <br /> landscaping wi~ look. <br /> <br /> Mayor Gilbertson resumed his position as Mayor. <br />I NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Appraisal and Engineering Services for 153rd Avenue N.W. <br />between Variolite Street N.W. and Armstrong Boulevard N.W. <br />(County Road 083) <br /> <br />Project M~ager Gromberg stated that the next step in completing the plans for the <br />construefio~ of the final leg of 153rd Avenue N.W. crosstown arterial is to accept quotes <br />and request the City Council to authorize the City to enter into contracts with consulting <br />firms to provide appraisals for the affected lots and an engineering finn to provide the <br />preliminary? design work for this section of roadway. <br /> <br />City Council/September 14, 1993 <br /> Page 4 of 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
