City Adm~. nistrator Schroeder asked to amend the resolution to request authorization for a <br />not-to-exc,~.~ amount for the services as opposed to identifying contracts. <br /> <br />Motion bY~ Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt <br />Resolutiog S93-09-179, as amended, awarding contract for Preliminary Engineering <br />Services ~8nd Appraisal Services for 153rd Avenue N.W. between Variolite Street N.W. <br />and Arms~trong Boulevard N.W. (County Road #83). <br />The motio!n~ met with citizen opposition. <br />Mr. Sehr0eder explained that the resolution on the table is to award appraisal and <br />engineert~ services. The purpose is to identify the alignment of 153rd Avenue N.W. <br />Without dOing the engineering, the City cannot request the necessary permits. <br /> <br />Mayor Gi~n also explained that the services would be paid for with MSA funds. <br />Motion carried. He <br />i the residents are opposed to the road and he felt that this should mean that <br />scs #3 and g4 do not exist; therefore, there is not need for the $19,000. <br /> <br />Proposed Renaming of l$3rd Avenue N.W. and Sunfish Lake <br />Drive N.W. <br /> <br />Project lvl~ ager Gromberg stated that the City is considering changing the name of 153rd <br />Avenue i~.W. and also Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. The City received six different <br />suggestion~ for 153rd and three different suggestions for Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. <br />A resident iof Ramsey inquired if when 153rd Avenue N.W. is mentioned, does it include <br />155th Avenue N.W. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Approve Request from Glen Rehbein Excavating, Inc. for an <br />On-Sale Intoxicating Liquor with Sunday Sales License <br /> <br />Police Chi~ Auspos explained that Glen Rehbein Excavating, Inc. has applied for an on- <br />sale intoxidafing liquor license for the golf clubhouse building at 9333 - 153rd Avenue <br />N.W. He s~ted that this same type of license is in effect for these premises under the name <br />of Great ScOt 13011, Inc. That particular license is in effect until July 1, 1994. All items in <br />the application haVe been investigated and found to be proper. A public hearing was held <br />and no oppOsition was stated.
