PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramaey City Council conducted a public hearing on Tuesday, October 12, 1993, at the <br />RamseY Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, <br />regardin$ the proposed assessment for Improvement Project g93-09 (Overlaying <br />improveraent to Brookview Estates, White Pine Estates and Meadowbrook Additions). <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Cdtbertson called the public heating to order at 8:27 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that the total cost of this project is $44,973 and the City is <br />proposip$ to assess half of that amount. There are 51.5 units (.5 = comer lot) and each <br />unit wilt be assessed $436.56. Mr. Jankowski stated he received written objection from an <br />individual own owns two lots. The property owner does not object to his homestead being <br />assessed, but he does object to his outlot being assessed. He is claiming that his ouflot is <br />unbuildable. Mr. Jankowski stated there is a wetland in the middle of the property but <br />there is quite a bit of high land; therefore, he (Jankowski) feels the lot is buildable. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to close <br />the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Zimmerman, Hardin, <br />Beyer and Peterson.
