Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to introduce the <br />ordinan¢~ selling certain public land in the City of Rarnsey, Anoka County, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Motion carded. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Peterson and Hardin. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case g2: Presentation by Anoka County Sheriff Kenneth Wilkinson <br /> <br />This item Was placed on this agenda in error. It is scheduled for the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />Case #3: Fire Department Tanker <br /> <br />City Adtrtinistrator Schroeder stated that the Fire Board met to discuss the purchase of the <br />tanker. With .thc $6,800 that is budgeted in 1994 for the equipment replacement fund <br />allocation, the total available is $94,802. This slightly exceeds the amount required for the <br />purchase if we do not take delivery until 1995. <br /> <br />Fire Chief Griffin stated that delivery would be in 1995. <br /> <br />Councilmember Hardin noted that the lowest bid was waived because a bid bond was not <br />provided and inquired if that was a big enough issue to waive the bid. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroeder stated the City's standard practice is to reject a bid that does not include the <br />bid bond~ <br /> <br />Motion byiCouncilmember Hardin and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt Resolution <br />#93-11-266 approving the purchase of the cab and chassis from Lakeland Ford at a price of <br />$48,095 and the apparatus from General Safety for a price of $44,970 for a total purchase <br />price of $93,065. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin and Peterson. <br />Voting Not None. Absent: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmerman. <br /> <br />Case #4: Adopt Ordinance Amending Chapter 6 of the City Code; <br /> Snowmobile Ordinance <br /> <br />Police Chief Auspos stated that on October 26, 1993, Council introduced the ordinance <br />amending Chapter 6 of the City Code; snowmobile ordinance. It is now presented for <br />formal adoption. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Councilmember Peterson to adopt <br />Ordinance#93-I8 amending Chapter 6.04 of the City Code; Snowmobile Ordinance. <br /> <br />Motion c ~artied. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin and Peterson. <br />Voting No:: None.
