In addition, for several years there has <br />been a line itdm that has generally been $5,000.00 that is held out to encourage matches from the <br />Community Ad *iewed as a one to one matching grant program. Notable improvements have <br />been landscape i~provements to Lake Itasca, benches, trash receptacles, the batting cage at <br />Central Park ~s w~ell as other proposals that did not proceed. He stated there are two proposals <br />on the table, ~he tlirst is undefined, which is looking at the landscape improvements to the north <br />area of Emerald Pond Park w~th mention of a small kiosk used as a park ~nformation sign or <br />neighborhood[bulletin board. He did not think a great deal of cash would be involved, one to two <br />thousand dollars ~erhaps. <br /> <br />Parks/UtilitieS Sul~ervisor Boos explained that the Environmental Policy Task Force has been <br />working on a humber of things associated with the tree ordinance. An important part of urban <br /> :ati~g and making appropriate tree choices for tree planting.
