Councilmember Look stated that there was a summary of sound research submitted and <br />according to the acceptable sound levels, the homes in the area are all fiirther away than the <br />standards listed. He stated that he is not concerned about the effect on Dayton residents and is <br />not convinced that the noise decibels will exceed the limits set in the City Code. He stated that <br />he personally enjoys motocross events and feels holding these events would help make Ramsey a <br />destination City. He stated that he doesn't feel there is any other place in the City where this would be <br />acceptable. <br />Councilmember Look stated that the City expected to get complaints about the Tribute to the <br />Troops event and didn't. He stated that he thinks the event was packaged so that people knew <br />what was going to happen and didn't have issues. He suggested that the City give permission for <br />the events on a trail basis and see how the community responds. <br />e to <br />Councihmember Olson stated that she agrees that these are activities that t wain that she realizes <br />town and agrees with the activities discussed that create less noise. <br />motocross and demolition derby events are popular and suggested that rather than 2 of each of <br />these type events, that only 1 of each is permitted on a trial basis to see what happens.
