Mr. Dan Murphy reviewed the process they have gone through for approval of this amendment. <br />He stated the two lots as currently assessed would not be feasible to offset the costs of the lots so <br />he was requesting the amendment be approved. <br />Citizen Input <br />There was none. <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy, to close the public hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Van Scoy, Cleveland, Hunt, <br />Levine, and Trites Rolle. Voting No: None. Absent: Brauer. <br />The public hearing closed at 9:17 p.m. <br />Commission Business <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 9:17 <br />p.m. <br />Chairperson Nixt stated he understood why the recommendation was made and supported the <br />land use change. <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Trites Rolle, to recommend the City <br />Council adopt the resolution approving the request and authorizing staff to submit the <br />Comprehensive Plan Amendment to the Metropolitan Council based on the interim <br />comprehensive plan amendment criteria. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Trites Rolle, Cleveland, Hunt, <br />Levine, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None.
