On September 7, 2006 the Planning Commission reviewed <br />the request to rezone the property from B -2 Business to Planned Unit Development, and <br />recommended denial. On October 9, 2007 the City Council denied the zoning amendment <br />request, and directed Staff to initiate a new zoning amendment to change the property's zoning <br />designation from B -2 Business to R 1 Residential. <br />Staff recommends approval of the zoning amendment. <br />Citizen Input <br />There was none. <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to close the public hearing. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Cleveland, Hunt, Triter <br />Rolle, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Brauer. <br />The public hearing closed at 9:19 p.m. <br />Commission Business <br />Chairperson Nixt called the regular meeting of the Planning Commission back to order at 9:19 <br />p.m. <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Levine, to recommend that City <br />Council approve findings of fact favorable to the applicant and introduce an ordinance rezoning <br />the property from B -2 Business to R -1 Residential, contingent on receipt of a Comprehensive <br />Plan Amendment. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Cleveland, Hunt, Trites <br />Rolle, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Brauer. <br />Case #4: Request for Sketch Plan Review of Sunfish Lake Business Park 4 Addition; <br />Case of City of Ramsey <br />Presentation <br />Interim Assistant Community Development Director Geisler stated the City of Ramsey has <br />submitted a sketch plan application to split one existing lot, Lot 4, Block 1, Sunfish Lake <br />Business Park Second Addition, into two, buildable lots on the property located on the northeast <br />corner of Bunker Lake Boulevard and Azurite Street. <br />Sunfish Lake Business Park e Addition would create two, buildable lots from one existing lot. <br />This property is located within a TIF district No. 10. Lot 1 would be approximately 4.8 acres, <br />and would remain vacant until a desirable user purchases it. Lot 2 is proposed to be 6 acres in <br />Planning Commission/November 1, 2007 <br />Page 12 of 18 -191- <br />
