Assistant City Engineer Himmer .stated they have already adjusted the pond to accommodate the <br />drive land and they will still stay within the requirement of a four to one slope. He showed on <br />the drawing the pond changes to the Commission. <br />Commissioner Trites Rolle asked if having proof of parking stall was adequate. <br />Interim Assistant Community Development Director Geisler indicated it was. <br />Chairperson Nixt asked if the proposed turning radius was adequate for the fire and safety <br />vehicles. <br />Assistant City Engineer Himmer stated, his understanding was they looked at this and all their <br />concerns were answered. <br />Motion by Commissioner Levine, seconded by Commissioner Trite Rolle, to recommend that <br />City Council grant approval of the proposed site plan contingent upon compliance with City Staff <br />Review Letter dated October 26, 2007. <br />Further discussion: Chairperson Nixt asked if TIF was playing a role in this. <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon stated it would but was not sure about the <br />particulars. <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Levine, Trites Tolle, Cleveland, <br />Hunt, and Van Scoy. Voting No: None. Absent: Brauer. <br />Case 46: Review of Official Map for Future Right -of -Way Needs for the Northwest <br />Metro Corridor and River Crossing Project; Case of City of Ramsey <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Planning Commission meeting at 9:44 p.m. in <br />order to call the public hearing to order. <br />Public Hearing <br />Chairperson Nixt called the public hearing to order at 9:44 p.m. <br />Presentation <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon stated Anoka County is in the process of <br />purchasing 41.24 acres on the south side of Hwy. 10 from Larry Boike in order to preserve land <br />for the future highway interchange for Hwy. 10 and the Northwest Metro River Crossing over the <br />Mississippi River. Last month, the City approved the River Crossings subdivision, which split <br />the Boike property into three lots in order to facilitate the use of different funding sources to pay <br />for the purchase of the property.
