• I live a ways away from your: facility but have traveled to many of i.m.p.s. events, I had a great time at all of them ,and would travel to at least one of these events. I read about the proposed spring and fall derbies on a post for MN drivers online, they listed your email address to contact. I am-not a local resident, or resident of Ramsey, but a derby driver. I dive in Watertown, MN, and typically run l or 2 cars per year. A vast majority of those derbies are within a 7-8 week stretch when all - county fairs are running, so another oppurtunity early and. late would likely be one more car I could run next year. The guys at IMP have done a great job, and are going to continue to draw • bigger numbers as people look for reputable promoters. There is a lot of expense with my hobby, and the most expensive day is the day of the derby. Gas for the hauler and car, tons of ice, food and drink for the pit crew, - last minute parts and supplies, we spend a lot of money that day, if the derby is in Ramsey that's where our money goes. I also enjoy taking my two sons, now 3 and 6, to events like these, and the motocross and bullriding that was also mentioned in the post on the drivers forum. This past August, I took them to a truck and tractor pull in Corcoran, we had a great time. I took my leftover car back there to a derby in September to donate a car for the better-prepared drivers to hit around for awhile, but I feel it's important to support places like these so that they will be around as an option for my family. I am also a homeowner, so I understand their concerns. The sound of a well tuned engine is music to my ears, but maybe not to all. I hope that things • can be worked out, and that things go forward.
