Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #07-12-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ENGANGE THE SERVICES OF BRAUER & ASSOCIATES FOR CONCEPT PLANNING FOR SUNFISH LAKE PARK, AT A NOT-TO-EXCEED AMOUNT OF $30,000. FROM THE PARK TRUST FUND WHEREAS, parks, natural resources, openspace and recreation areas, are essential to the quality of life, Health and welfare of Ramsey resident's; and WHEREAS, the proposed Sunfish Lake Park .will be a unique Neighborhood Park as well as a community resource and fulfill these needs; and WHEREAS, the adjoining residential neighborhoods have contributed Park Dedication dollars for the development of a recreational resource at Sunfish Lalce; and WHEREAS, City Council has allocated $0,000 in Park Trust Fund monies within the 2007 Capital Improvement Program for the development of a park plan that will serve these neighborhoods and the larger community; and WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission called for proposals from firms who specialize in park platming for unique spaces and has recommended Brauer & Associates; and WHEREAS, on March 27th; 2007, City Council authorized staff to initiate concept plaiuling for Sunfish Lalce Park at anot-to-exceed amount of $30,000: NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That, the City Council authorizes staff to engage the services of Brauer & Associates, to assist the Park and Recreation Commission, City Council, and residents, in the development of a plan for Sunfish Lake Park the meets the needs of the community.
